Fibre Optic Blowing

FIBRE OPTIC BLOWING

Efficient, accurate solution without excavation

Fibre Optical Blowing with Horizontal Directional Drilling: the perfect combination.

Fibre optic installation using the blowing system

The fibre optic blowing technique is one of the most efficient methods for installing fibre cables underground, combined with Horizontal Directional Drilling.

This installation method allows us to deploy high-capacity networks with great precision in a safe and sustainable manner.

How does the fibre optic blowing technique work?

Using the horizontal directional drilling technique to install the underground conduit, the fibre optic blowing technique uses compressed air to propel the fibre cable into the microtube.

Thanks to this application, the cable advances in a controlled and frictionless manner, reducing the risk of damage and significantly increasing the speed of service installation.

Uses

  • FTTP networks – Fiber to the Home: large-scale deployment of fibre optics in urban, interurban or rural areas
  • Infrastructure crossings: roads, motorways, railways, rivers
  • Protected environments: protected areas, natural parks, areas where minimal intervention is required
  • International or long-range projects: backbone networks, cross-border sections

Advantages of the fibre optic blowing system

  • CONTINUOUS, FAST AND SAFE INSTALLATION

Blown fibre optic installation allows high-speed cables to be introduced, minimising installation time and reducing risks.

  • SUSTAINABLE AND EFFICIENT

The blowing system allows sections of up to 2000 metres to be installed without the need for joints. Furthermore, when combined with the PHD method, it is environmentally friendly.

  • PRECISION AND CONTROL

The process is monitored in real time, adapting the parameters to guarantee the quality of the installation.
