At Catalana Drilling, we are continuing to grow and are looking for new talent to join our team. We are part of Catalana de Perforacions, a Spain-based company with almost six decades of experience in drilling and civil engineering, and a pioneer in Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD).

You will work alongside our drilling crews on projects across Germany, taking an active part in drilling operations and learning from experienced professionals in the sector.

If you are keen to travel, learn and develop professionally, we will provide you with the training you need to become a specialist in the drilling and underground construction sector.

What will your day-to-day work as a Drilling Assistant involve?

  • Supporting the driller and the rest of the crew during drilling operations.
  • Carrying out site tasks following the instructions of the crew supervisor.
  • Using the hand and power tools required to carry out the work.
  • Assisting with the loading, unloading and preparation of materials, equipment and machinery.
  • Supporting the team throughout the different stages of drilling operations.
  • Working closely with the team to meet the schedule and objectives of each project.
  • Following established health and safety procedures throughout all site operations.

What are we looking for?

  • Minimum education: compulsory secondary education or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a Drilling Assistant is not required.
  • Previous experience in construction, civil engineering or similar work will be an advantage.
  • Valid Category B driving licence.
  • A Category C+E driving licence will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to different working environments.
  • A responsible and committed approach to work, with good attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Essential: willingness and availability to travel and work at different locations across Europe, depending on project requirements and locations.
  • Availability to work some weekends when required by the project.

Our crews travel according to the location and duration of each project, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working away from their usual place of residence.
