At Catalana Drilling, we have added a new state-of-the-art drill rig to our fleet, Grundogrill ACS300 of Tracto-Technik
We continue to grow and gain experience in the drilling and underground works sector with the acquisition of a new drill rig, a Grundogrill ACS300 of Tracto-Technik, expanding our fleet of machinery and preparing ourselves to take on complex and large-scale projects.
New technology to boost efficiency
With the aim of continuing to grow and enhance our expertise in the drilling and underground works sector, this month we have expanded our fleet of machinery with a state-of-the-art Tracto-Tecknik machine, whose power, precision and versatility strengthen our operational capacity.
Thanks to its high-performance configuration, the machine allows for efficient HDD projects in all types of geologies, from soft soils to difficult or rocky terrain.
Key technical capabilities
- The configuration offers us a thrust and traction force of up to 300 kN, with a maximum torque of 13,000 Nm, allowing us to work on projects with larger diameters and more demanding geological terrain.
- In the pilot drilling phase, it can achieve a drilling diameter of 165 mm.
- For the reaming phase, the drill allows a maximum diameter of up to 1,000 mm.
- The main motor’s power output reaches 231 kW, ensuring sufficient capacity for demanding and continuous projects.
Maximum precision, productivity and sustainability
With this new addition, we will be able to further reduce project execution times and improve operational efficiency. The drill rig includes state-of-the-art control systems and automated rod management, which simplifies handling and makes work easier for our operators.
We continue to focus on drilling systems with minimal surface intervention, lower environmental impact and reduced restoration, which is in line with our commitment to sustainability.
