Installation of an MD7 multi-duct for Deutsche Glasfaser with the aim of improving connectivity in the Hammer region.
Between November 2021 and June 2022, we developed a key project in Hammer to improve connectivity in the area alongside Deutsche Glasfaser.
During the six months that the work was carried out, we installed an MD7 multi-duct and a 125 mm diameter protective tube, creating an infrastructure ready to meet current and future needs.
A track length of 1,830 metres
The work extended over 1,830 metres, with particularly complex terrain, classified between classes 6 and 7. This demanding geology forced us to design a flexible strategy, alternating between different drilling methods:
- Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD), ideal for overcoming critical sections and minimising the impact on the environment.
- Opening of a trench on a slope, which allowed us to advance efficiently in more accessible areas.
The combination of both techniques was key to meeting deadlines and ensuring the safety and quality of the project.
A reliable network that is ready for the future
The installation of protective piping along part of the route was an essential step in ensuring the durability of the system and facilitating future expansions. The result is a robust, efficient network with the capacity to keep pace with the region’s technological growth.
More than an installation, a commitment
This project not only reflects the application of advanced solutions, but also our commitment to innovation and to the communities where we work.
Each section completed is a step towards more stable, faster and more sustainable connectivity for the residents of Hammer.
